Privacy Policy
Relavo LLC ("Relavo," "we," "us") takes the privacy of patient information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We've written this in plain English — if anything is unclear, please reach out at hello@relavo.io.
Who we are
Relavo LLC is a Utah limited liability company. We provide a software service that enables dental practices to send post-visit video summaries to their patients via SMS. Dental practices are our direct customers; patients receive communications through them.
What information we collect
We collect only the information that dental practice staff enter when using our service. This includes patient names, patient phone numbers, dental procedure information relevant to the post-visit summary, and video recordings made by dental staff summarizing a patient's visit and care instructions.
We do not collect information directly from patients. We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics on our platform.
How we use it
The information we collect is used solely to deliver post-visit video summaries from dental providers to their patients. We do not use patient information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond operating the service for the dental practice that provided it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell patient information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing or any commercial purpose.
We use a small number of trusted infrastructure providers to operate the platform. SMS delivery is handled through Twilio, and video files are stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure. These providers receive only the data necessary to perform their specific function, and are contractually required to keep it confidential and to use it for no other purpose.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or valid legal process.
How long we keep it
Video recordings and all associated patient information are retained for 90 days from the date they are created, then permanently deleted. Dental practices that need patient records retained for longer periods should maintain their own copies through their practice management systems.
SMS messaging and opt-out
Patients receive SMS messages because their dental practice has used Relavo to send them a post-visit summary. These are transactional messages directly related to dental care they have received.
Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. Once you reply STOP, you will receive no further messages through our platform. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly at hello@relavo.io.
Security
All data transmitted to and from our service is encrypted in transit using TLS. Video files and patient information are encrypted at rest. We work only with infrastructure providers that maintain independent security certifications and follow industry-standard practices for data protection.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you become aware of a security concern related to our service, please contact us immediately at hello@relavo.io.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our service evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after an updated policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
